School Rules
  • The school day commences with a prayer at assembly. At the sound of the first bell, all must immediately get into line for the assembly after which they will walk in silence to their classes
  • It is compulsory for every student to be present on the closing and re-opening day of the school.
    The only exception to the above rules will be ill health of the student in question, in case it should be notified to the school authorities within two days and not when the student comes back to the school.
  • If a student is absent for more than two days owing to ill health, a medical certificate along with prescription should be produced.
  • Pupils who have been absent from class or who comes to class late must have the reason entered in the regularity record stating briefly the cause of the absence or delay (reasons of private nature, may be submitted through application).
  • Irregular attendance, habitual idleness, disobedience of pupils whose conduct in or out of the school premises is injurious to the moral climate of the school or incompatible with strict discipline, will be dealt with sternly. In particular stealing and resorting to unfair means during tests and examinations will not be tolerated. Unfair means in examination will result in zero in that paper followed by warning.
  • All should speak English in the school premises and as much as possible at home.
  • No one is allowed to remain inside the class room during the break and the games period except when it rains.
  • No child may leave the playground without permission of the teacher in charge.
  • Nail polish and use of Mehandi is not permitted. Chewing gum is not allowed.
  • School Fees should be paid by 10 of every month.
  • During the absence of the teacher, the class students must obey the House. Prefect/Monitor are appointed in order to maintain discipline.
  • Student should not bring valuable articles to the school. School is not responsible for money or jewellery if lost.
  • Any damage to school property is to be made good.
  • Students must address their teachers and all the members of the staff with due respect and politeness, on their way to and from school they are expected to behave in a proper manner.
  • St. Paul's Academy's students should also be polite among themselves, speaking gently to one another and behaving at all times in a friendly, loving and respectful manner.
  • Children should come to school daily in full uniform. They must look clean neat and tidy. Their hair neatly combed and tied with a white ribbon/hairband. ID card and Tie is compulsory for all the students.
  • During the change of period or when going from one classroom to another, moderate silence must be observed.
  • Absence from class for the following reasons is strongly objected to:
    1. For birthdays, marriages, feasts, excursions.
    2. In view of anticipating or extending school vacations.
    3. In order to study
  • Pupils are responsible for the safe custody of books and belongings, which should be clearly marked with the owner's name.
  • No collection of any kind (even fine) or the sale of tickets for any purpose is not permitted in the school without the written permission of the Principal
  • No parents or visitors are allowed to meet teachers and students during class hours. If a parent wants to meet the class teacher, permission should be sought through the Principal or Headmistress.
  • No parent is allowed to go and see his ward in the classroom. This disturbs the lesson and discipline of the class. Parents are not allowed to go to any teacher's house to discuss about their child. School matters must be settled in the school.
  • No student will be allowed to go home from the school during the School hours without a written request from the parents.
  • Students must bring their tif fin along with them. Tif fin boxes, brought thereafter will not be accepted by the guards or the helpers
  • No children suf fring from infectious diseases will be allowed to attend the school until he/she is free from the infection. He/she will be allowed to sit in the class only after producing authentic medical certificate.
  • No student is allowed to carry any electronic gadget like mobile, camera, headphone, I-Pad etc to school. If found, then the banned device will be confiscated and will not be returned under any circumstance. Fancy or smart watches should not be worn in the school.
  • Buying eatable from street vendors is strictly forbidden outside the school premises.
